Animals first!

Goat! ♥

Look! The cow has the state of Ohio on it! Even cows are Buckeyes fans!

Oink, Oink!
Now for the rides!

Doesn’t this just look gorgeous? I can’t believe I got this good of a shot!

Phew! I’m tired! And I didn’t even get to ride any rides! I can’t wait to go back this week when the weather is even better and play with some more pictures! All those cute animal faces and that wonderful barnyard smell that I can’t get enough of… yep – definitely going back lots this week!

March 21st, 2010
Saturday I spent the day shopping with my sister and my 3 year old niece. We had a lot of fun, and I probably spent a little more money than I should have… but that happens, right?

We actually found Andersons, which I hadn’t been to in years. Our level of excitement was probably odd to some, but my sister and I have really fond memories of going to this store and getting the really good baked goods and such. We both came home with an Italian cheese bread that we used to get all the time as a kid, only as a kid we’d eat the entire loaf on the hour long car ride home. I also came away with some rhubarb starts for my garden, and my sis picked up some flower seeds for her back patio.
Afterward we shopped around at a couple of different places for clothes, which is where I really spent more than I planned. But I got so many great deals. I think in all I came home with 3 new shirts, 2 pairs of jeans for Sean, and a really cute watch. Not to mention the excellent conversation…. its funny – my sister and I literally live a 5 minutes walk from each other, but our lives are so busy that we rarely get a chance to spend time together.
This morning I forced myself to go outside and plant the rhubarb. I have bad habits of buying things to plant, and then never get around to it and then the plants inevitably die. Its a little chilly out today, and the weather is going to be cooler this week than last, but I’ve heard rhubarb is pretty hardy and I didn’t pay all that much for it so we’ll see how it does. Worst case I’ll just buy more when it warms up and replant it.
I also have some tulips that still need planting from last fall when mom dropped them off. They’re actually starting to grow in the bag right now – I planted a few in a pot indoors here so I have some inside, but I really need to get them planted in the yard outside… I just don’t know where. Maybe today, after we get furniture moved into our business office, I’ll dig up the area right outside our back steps and plant them along there. They shouldn’t die – my sister has tulips and daffodils coming up already so I’m sure they’ll be just fine.
